About Electronics City

Electronics City is an electronics industrial park spread over 332 acres (1.3 km²) in Konappana Agrahara and Doddathogur villages, just outside Bangalore, India. Its about 40 mins (20km) from the center of the city, MG Road. It houses more than a hundred industries, including IT industry leaders such as Wipro, Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, Infosys, CGI, Siemens, ITI, Yokogawa Electric,Satyam, etc.

In 1997, the maintenance and upkeep of Electronic City was handed over by Keonics to ELCIA, the Electronics City Industries Association, having representatives from units in the enclave.

Why MyElectronicsCity

I am Thejesh GN, engineer, who was born and brought up in the area now called Electronics city. I still live in a near by village called Kammasandra.

For a long time electronics city was not a preferred residential area. It was just an industrial area where we used go only for work. With the heavy inflow of population, growth of Bangalore, people started moving out of the city. Now virtually electronics city is South Bangalore.

This site is to help the residents of Electronics city and near by areas. This is a community driven information site where you can get, everything you want to know about Electronics City, Bangalore.
