This page is for helping you how to edit pages on myelectronicscity.com. If you are a wordpress user, its dead simple. All the pages here are wordpress pages with parent-child hierarchy. I have customized page template which adds breadcrumbs and listing of child pages automatically. Wordpress rocks.

Register First:
To do anything on MyElectronicsCity, you need to register. Please go here and register. You need to use valid email id for registration.

Ask for Access:
Once you register, you can only leave comments. To edit or add pages you need to have access. Send a mail to ecity at thejeshgn dot com asking for access.

Editing a page:
Its easy. Login. Then go to the page which you want to edit or correct something. Find the edit link. Click on it. Takes you wordpress edit page where you can edit the page. Use HTML view or better visual view to add or edit content.

Adding a a page to existing category:
Once you are comfortable with the system, you can start adding pages. Login to the system.

1. On the left side menu click on pages-> Add new.
2. On the right side. Select a parent (like school, hospitals etc)which you think this page should belong to
3. Select the template as wiki
4. Enter a Good title
5. Add text.
6. Once done click the publish
7. If you dont want to publish, use save draft. You can continue editing later.

It usually takes time for the latest breadcrumb and toc to appear on the site. Its due to caching. Once the cache expires. It will re-appear.
